FIELD WORK
Experiences and photographs during my time collecting field data.
All photographs personally captured.

DETAILED ASSESSMENT METHOD
(2022)
During SEACOR habitat surveys, detailed data collection (otherwise known as DAM) is performed at random waypoints across estuary tide flats. Sites are dug or dredged to collect shellfish species biomass estimates for state management.

ORCA POD (2018)
Orca whales would occasionally follow fishing vessels for a chance at an easy meal. Photo collected post haul back in the Bering Sea.

FIREWEED
BLOOM
(2015)
A field of fireweed surrounding the trail up to Pear Lake. Vegetation plots, ten meters in diameter, were collected during mountain goat surveys & observations

THERMOREGULATION (2019)
Greater sage-grouse were tracked and banded across the Warner mountains. Temperature samples were taken at sage-grouse brooding and nesting sites.

SESNA
FLIGHT
(2019)
Private charter flight into Cold Bay, AK for the 2019 commercial fishing season. Charters were occasionally arranged due to dangerous flying conditions for larger aircrafts along the Aleutian chain.

ROTARY SCREW TRAP (2021)
Flow of the river rotates the large cone, trapping portions of fish populations into the rear holding tank. Daily measurements for trap efficiency and fish tagging procedures help determine populations of juvenile salmon/steelhead as they migrate downstream. This trap is located on Panther Creek outside Carson, WA.
